  Out put to video

  Not sure about putting the video using FCP to Betacam 2800.
  I selected ‘Print to tape’ and FCP asked me to start recording to tape.
  M100 controls the Betacam to record.
  I do have control of the Betacam with FCP5 but not to record from the program.
  Is that right?
  Is there any Gotchas?

  To control the deck, use “Edit to Tape”

  Search this forum for more info about Edit to Tape. There are some wrinkles. In FCP4.5 (I’m not sure if this has been fixed in FCP5) you had to drag the icon of the sequence you wanted to dump to tape FROM the browser TO the Edit to Tape window that opens over the Canvas, where you’ll see options either to Insert, Assemble or Preview. You have to enter ins and outs and make sure you’re controlling with 422. There are lots of other options, too.
