  • QT7 and Tiger and FCP: problems?

This is related to a thread I started yesterday about some firewire problems I’m having with FCP 4.5, under OS 10.4.3, and using QT 7.0.3.
From what I can tell, there seems to be a problem between QT7 and Tiger. Thanks to Jeremy for pointing me in that direction. Apple also seems to acknowledge the problem.
What I’m wondering is if the problem would be solved by reverting to QT 7.0.1 or even 6.5.2. Apple happens to have Reinstaller programs available for download, to reinstall these “older” versions. I’d hate to go back to QT6, but I wonder of there would be problems with reverting to 7.0.1.

Does anyone have any idea about this? I looked around on Macintouch.com as well, but couldn’t find much.

For the record, it’s QT7, Tiger, and FCP 4.5.

The recommended set up for FCP 4.5 is 10.3.8 & QT 6.5.2

To follow up, I reverted to QT 7.0.1 and everything works fine now.
