  • Please help: Multiple Edits Window

Posted by Rong Anna on December 8, 2005 at 10:07 am

Hi, I upgraded to FCP 5.03 from 4.5 on my Powerbook (using the highest resolution at 1280×854) and for some reason do not have the option of using the multiple Edits Window. Have tried everything to try to find this window layout, but haven’t had any luck.

    Would really appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Anna

    Hi Anna,

go to Window/Arrange/Multiple Edits. I double checked on my Powerbook and it worked.

    Hi Boyd,

There must be something else going on with my Powerbook. Have tried everything that’s written in the book, uncluding going under indow/Arrange/Multiple Edits, but I simply do not have the option to choose that layout.

Any other suggestions by any chance?

    Thanks lots,
    Anna

Does it show up as being grayed out, or just not there? Also, what powerbook do you have? I have the G4 1.5 ghz with 1.5 gigs of ram. You may want to trash your FCP preferences, and all your FCP cache files (thumbnails, waveform). For your system, use Disk Utility to verify/repair your drives and verify/repair permissions. Restart and see what happens. You may also want to cross post on Apple’s FCP forum.

Make sure your Dock is hidden. If not, on a PB the screen size isn’t large enough and it doesn’t execute.

    All the best,

    Tom
