  Can’t get safe title lines any more

  There was a time when the safe titles worked for me. Now they don’t. I go to view>and select show overlays. I select show safe title. Nothing. I can get timecode overlays to work. And finally I reset my prefs. with FCP Rescue 5. Any idea?

  I’ve never seen this or heard of this problem. You know that the viewer overlay controls are seperate from the canvas ones, right?

  Don’t do this from the View menu, do this directly in the Canvas or Viewer controls.
