  FCP with canon xl2

  I recently purchased FCP 5, though I am familiar with 4, and a canon xl2. It was obviously wrong to hope they would just work together no problem…whenever I try to capture into FCP I get a pop up that tells me my capture presets have to be changed to a video format. However, all my settings are DV NTSC. When I try to print to tape, the camera will switch to record mode but not record sound or video. Any ideas? Thanks.

  Did you do a simple upgrade from 4 to 5 and panther to tiger, quicktime 6 to 7, rather than a clean install?
