  XDCAM and FCP

  Is there any possibilities that FCP can read the proxy AV datafiles from SONY’s XDCAM ?

  only one real option for direct XDCAM / FCP interface — Telestream’s Flip4Mac MXF Import Component
  currently does not read the proxyAV files

  Correct. we will include in an upcoming version that we hope to have out in Q4

  Also, no export component … ?
  Export is also coming. Targetted for Q1 06

  And we can’t see thumbnails of the content, only filenames in the import dialog?
  Thumbnails will also be supported in an upcoming version, although I don’t have a target date for that yet

  there is also MXFConverter that does support proxyAV but only for XDCAM DV not XDCAM IMX
