Newbie FCP Batch recapture question
Perhaps I’m missing something obvious, but I’m stumped.
I have captured a bunch of clips with video and Ch 1 audio only, when I meant to capture Audio+Video and Ch1+Ch 2.
So I selected every clip in the bin, Modify>Make Offline>Move to Trash. Then I went Log & Capture>Clip Settings>Aud+Video Ch 1 + Ch 2> Batch>Capture Selected Items in Bin>uncheck Options (so it ignores “Use Logged Clip Settings”–which was the incorrect Ch 1 only instruction).
But when I uncheck the Options box, the dialogue changes from “Using logged clip settings . . ,” to “Capturing Video and 1 channel of Mono Mix Audio . . .”
What do I have to do to ensure I get both channels of audio on the batch recapture?

After you have made all the clips offline (removed from disk) go back and find the “Tracks” COLUMN in the Browser, select (highlight) all of the clips you want to change, and select the choice”1V, 2A”.
Then just Batch Capture WITH the “use logged clip settings” because you have changed them to what you WANT, now.

One reason is, if you wanted to bring in new versions of your clips that you did not want to conform to presets that you made on the initial capture.
With cetain capture cards (but not with a direct FW capture), you can set input levels and other presets during import.
These will be “remembered” and used on subsequent captures.If you decided to change these settings overall, you could re-capture any or all clips with the new (FCP calls the “current”) settings and ignore the original ones.
