i have a 2 minutes sequence in which i color corrected all the clips, it’s in 8bit uncompressed. When i watch the sequence in the viewer and reference monitor the colors and black levels are perfect, but when i export the same sequence it turns out that the black levels are way too dark and i end up not seeing most of the darker parts of the clip and it is just not normal i really dont understand why it would do that.

i’ve been working with FCP for over 7yrs and this is the first time it happens to me

i’ve tried to use different codec for output but they all end up the same, i need help my client is really unhappy and i dont know what to do at all !

WHat is the final product that you are delivering to your client? Tape, DVD?

You didn’t mention the delivery platform–PC or Apple–so gamma (Mac OS X – 1.8, PC and Television 2.2) may be your issue so you might want to check out this article QuickTime Pro – QT Movies from FCP over at KenStone.net.

    Don’t worry Mr. B. I have a cunning plan…
