  OT: Panasonic HVX 200??? camera for the HD budget concious?

  hey with this camera is the HD recording only to the P2 cards? And is there any indication whether the camera will ship with P2 cards or will that be an extra?

  also i assume there will be a PAL version of this camera?

  Go look at the Panasonic P2 forum for more info. You can order with 2 8 gig P2 cards.
  Firestore will be coming out with a 60 or 100 gig portable HD that will in theory allow you to record HD direct to the HD. March 06 release for the HD. Look at the Firestore forum for more info.

  I believe camera is about $6G without P2 cards and about $10G with two 3G cards (that hold about 8 minutes each in DVCPRO HD mode I believe). Only records HD to the cards or to the above mentioned forthcoming Firestore.
