Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy fishy timecode

  • Posted by Melissa on November 1, 2005 at 7:51 pm

I’ve captured DVCam footage that had been logged for 10 min increments. FCP
captured all footage successfully from start of tape to end in 10 min clips,
but the time code for each clip starts at zero. So I have 4 or 5 clips that
all have the same time code, but are different content. Any ideas why this
may have happened. Oh and it happened through several tapes before we
noticed it. Strangely, the last clip on each tape captured with the correct
    time code…

It was shot that way. Incorrect use of the timecode function.
Be sure to read the manual for your camera very carefully before the next shoot.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
