I’ve checked my seq. settings to make sure my captured footage match my seq. I even reviewed the info on each .mov file. The problem is when I playback my footage I can see the upper and lower field when ever someone moves. The fields are not just small little rough edges but long narrow lines. I tried running the footage down to DVD and playing it on my DVD Player, same thing. The footage was shot by someone else and has timecode brakes and freezes on some clips so I’m thinking that the head were dirty?

    Thank you,
    Brian

Was this shot with the dvx-100? Possibly shot in advance mode?
What format is your footage, DV or Uncompressed (and what is the frame size).

This banding is usually do to an inconsistency in frame size,
and when put to dvd inaccurate mpeg2 creation (especially if you use uncompressed files in idvd).

A quick fix when in a rush (at a loss of quality) is to de-interlace everything…..
