  Moving project to another FCP

  Hi All

  I have a project on FCP5 that is overrunning. Therefore I will need to move my project onto another suite in a different production house. Does anybody knows the best way of doing this, is there anything I should be copying other than the project and the meda files. I was told not to copy the render files, is this right?

  My media is stored on XServe Raid. And it is around 500gb.
  I am thinking about moving my project usinga firewire drive.

  Any information is much appreciated.

  Hi Juliett –

  I just did the same thing and got these replies. Note the “hard lesson learned” post from me. That is a good one to remember when transferring stuff!

  Use the Media Manager’s “Copy” function. That way you won’t have to reconnect all of your media after your media and project is copied over.
