I’m evaluating Shake for use in a HD project being done in FCP. Can anyone point me to a source that compares the advantages of Shake over After Effects so that I can justify the cost?

I guess the real question is how well do you (or the operator) know the application? Shake is a completely different animal than AE and knowing one does not mean you can simply pick up the other in a hurry.

Always something to consider when taking on a large project. I use AE all the time for HD projects here because I’ve used it for about 9 years now and am very fast on it. We also use Motion for particles and titles.
