I’m running an Aurora LS capture card and capturing from a betacam sp. When i capture from a beta tape the video comes in interlaced. How do I capture analog from the deck. Thanks for the help.

[socktan97] “How do I capture analog from the deck.”

Can you ask that question in a different way?
I have no idea what you have NOW vs. what you want to do DIFFERENTLY?

Sure. When i capture video from the betacam the video is interlaced. Is it possible to capture the video without it being interlaced. To do that do i have to capture it through analog?

It all started when I talked to the tech that sold me the deck and he said in order to capture the video and have it not be interlaced you need to capture it analog. Maybe i’m already capturing the video analog and its interlaced. Obviously video and i are new to each other so if i have it backwards and crooked could you straighten me out.

    I appreciate the help

Betacam SP is an analog format.
Betacam SP is always interlaced. There is no ’24p’ or any other progressive frame rate available to work with. There is no way to record on Betacam SP progressively.

What the heck is an Aurora LS? The only Aurora capture cards I know of are the Pipe family, the Igniter family and the Fuse.
