Creating content for 16:9 plamas which are ‘portrait’
Hi All
Please let me know if there is an eay way to do this in fcp.
I want to create the content 720 x 576 pal widescreen and then flip it to fit portrait.
Is this possible and is there an easier way of doing it? Hopefully you understand what I am trying to achieve.

Your best bet might be to use something like Combustion or possibly After Effects, which are totally scaleable. Are you shooting with a camera layed on its side???

Don’t laugh when I suggest this… I’m serious.
If you have two monitors on your FCP system, why not turn one of them on it’s side into “portrait” mode? You can use the “horizontal”, normal monitor for all timeline functions, and the second “full screen” monitor for framing and decisions. The key to this working is to use the “full screen” mode for all of your viewing and editing.
