  Interlace Lines

  Hi. I have some blue screen footage of a person ‘falling’, I am working with. I have applied a Deinterlace filter, Chroma Key, Matte Choker, 2 x 8-Point Garbage Mattes in that order. When I apply motion keyframes to give the sense of falling, I get outrageous interlace lines. Why does this happen if I have already taken out the Lower fields with the Deinterlace filter at the start? Is it avoidable?

  I’d try it without the de interlace filter… what would be the point of lowering the resolution by 50% using it anyway?

  Yes, I know what you’re saying. Now that I look at it, its only when the playback is stopped that it looks so s#!t, when playing it looks fine, so i guess its just that two fields are showing at once when the playback head is stopped. I guess its noticeable once I applied scaling to the footage because the original scan lines don’t match the new scan lines of the footage?? Anyway, thanks for your response.
