  importing PS files

  Hi,
  can someone tell me, is there a way to import a single cropped photoshop layer into AE, without having to import the whole file as a comp? Know what i mean? When importing it gives 3 options..1 as footage, 2 as cropped comp, 3 just as comp. But is it possible to just bring one cropped layer in?

  If you import as footage a layered PSD file, then in the next window you can select the layer you want and the footage dimensions. Hopefully this gets you where you need to go 🙂
