this is the message I get whenever I try to capture footage

” codec not found. you may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card.”

Well I have captured more than 2000 hours of footage and now this.. I have tried to capture in all the different settings.. offline, online, photo jpeg, etc… all the same error messages……..

I tried restarting the computer and chucking preferrences.. many times…

It was capturing fine.. now this?

    any thoughts?

    Shane’s Stock Answer #14:

If you get a CODEC NOT FOUND missing hardware check ALL your images in Photoshop and make sure there are in a RGB color space NOT CYMK, LAB, OR GREYSCALE
