    Hi folks
I have a nice set of free filter and transition plugins which run quite happily on my G5 but when I load any of them onto my G4 laptop they prevent FCP from openning. Tried completely reinstalling the laptop but to no avail. Suggestions?

first, you shuld share these great free plugins……. just kidding
are you using FCP 5? Where are you putting them? Did you just drag them into the folder or do they have an installer? I would check those things first. chances are its not the plugins but where or how they were put into the plugins folder.

    just press apple-z

I have a variety from Stibbs, Eureka, Rock river etc.
I installed them as per the instructions:
Library -> Application Support -> Final Cut Pro support System -> PlugIns
I’m running FPC4.5HD on both the G5 and the G4 powerbook, but they cause FCP to crash on startup on the powerbook!?!
    All advice greatfully received.
