I recently upgraded to Tiger and to FCP v.5.0.1. I now find it very difficult to highlight text in FCP — when working in either the text tool or in the browser — i.e. renaming clips, sequences, etc. I can highlight an entire clip name, but I can’t click & drag to highlight a word or a few characters. I must delete characters individually.

A minor thing, but kinda annoying. Any one else experience this? Is there a preference setting for this I’m missing?

    Thanks,
    Pete

i had the same problem and it seems to be a very common bug. i found that placing the cursor then hiting right arrow key it atleast allows you to keep most of your selection instead of deleitng it all. maybe in 5.03 it will be resolved

Thanks for the info, Bill. At least I’m not the only one, and it’s not a big deal, really.

Suggest you use Title 3D. The legacy generators are not of the same quality.
