    hey all-

I found a workaround for this problem but was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with removing the advanced pulldown from clips captured from 24pa source footage.

The problem I was having was that about half of my clips would come in at 29.97 and about half of the clips would be correct at 23.98- all of the clips would be 24p (pulldown was removed correctly) but FCP wasn’t reading the metadata in the clip correctly. And niether was quicktime; it would show up in quicktime as either 30 or 23.95, or 23.96. I opened the clips in cinema tools and it read it correctly and told me that the rate was 23.98…

The workaround was to select “conform” from the clip dropdown menu and select a different rate, such as 30, hit save on the clip and then change it back to 23.98…the result was that the video rate was updated in FCP to be correct.

    any similar issues?
