    Hi There.

I just inserted in some rather large tiffs and jpeg images onto an FCP sequence (some are 3000 by 1800 pixels)

FCP fits them to the screen to the PAL spec of 720 by 576, yet when i add a filter and attempt a high quality render with transitions, the thing takes ages (6 hours) for just a few jpegs with transitions and an anti alias filter on them all.

Is it because it is looking at the 3000 by 1800 pixels?????

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers

    Yes.

Reduce the image size in Photoshop to much closer to the size you need on the timeline BEFORE you import the images.
