  IMX Curiousity?

  Hey gang…

  To all you who are using the IMX codec, Are you noticing that when FCP reports the space requirements on your capture using the SDI inputs on your capture card that the sizes tend to be much larger than the footage on your disc (XDCAM Disc)? We are using XDCAM so I know that discs can only hold 23 gig but when I digitize most of a disc, FCP will report that it will take about 90 gig of drive space. The estimates are way off compared to actual captured footage. Whas up with dat?
