My FCP crashes when rendering Red Giant’s “Magic Bullet” effects. I am using FCP 4.5 on a Mac duel 2.0 G5 with 1GB memory and 2 250GB internal hard drives. The graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9600 XT. I am trying to render some effects from the Magic Bullet software on a half-hour program (from about 7 hours of footage). I seem to be able to render indivual clips, but if I attempt to render more than 3 at a time, FCP crashes when the rendering has finished and what was just rendered can’t be saved. The rendering is also extremely slower than usual. Any suggestions as to get it to run better with Magic Bullet software?
    Thanks for your help.

Any suggestions as to get it to run better with Magic Bullet software? < You mean slower than Magic Bullet used to render or just lower than you think it should be running? MB processes every single pixel, it's a major CPU hog even on a dual CPU Mac. Unfortunately, you really need to talk to the MB people, it's their issue first, FCP's issue second. I think there's a MB forum here on the cow. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
