  Strange FCP/deck issues

  I’m laying back to DVCPro with a Panasonic SD930. I can control the deck with no problem, and FCP thinks it can record to it but nothing actually happens other than it plays over the blank section of tape. No, the rec-inhibit is not active on the tape or the deck. I can directly record to the tape, but for some reason I cannot do it through the Blackmagic 9pin. I could swear I’ve done this before with no trouble.

  Has anyone else dealt with this?

  The SONY 422 is fine for playback but you need the Panasonic 422 driver for pb/rec
