  FCP 5.0.2 and HDV

  Hello,

  is it possible to capture and then cut a HDV project in FCP 5.0.2? I thought it was but can’t seem to get the settings to make it work. i have previously cut my HDV stuff in Express but was looking to go to FCP???

  We have been using Apple Intermediate Codec on a Mac.

  Sure it is. If you want to edit native HDV just choose easy setup HDV 1080i50 (I’m assuming you’re PAL cuz you’re from Bristol, UK).

  But my sequence settings seem to be wrong as i need to render the footage in order to play it?

  do i choose HDV – Apple intermediate Codec 1080i50 or HDV – 1080i50 ??
