Im trying to figure out how to do a travel matte Alpha. As I follow lesson 3, I have the transparance in my viewer, however, when i drag it into the time line, then click Alpha Luma, it’s not giving me that special effect like in the tutorial. The the paint brushed image is a bold white behind my broll footage. Not creating a transparent effect What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Rolanda
Not sure about this specific tutorial – but to use a travelling matte I usually put the background video on layer 1, the forground footage on layer 3, then the matt between them on 2. Next ctrl click layer 3 and choose composite mode from the menu then Alpha or Luma depending on the type of matte you have. Easy as! Hope it works.
    God bless
