Unable to connect to background process
After importing a file, applying my settings, and selecting a destination in compressor, when I hit “submit” it says “Unable to connect to background process” Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

go to the support section of the apple web site & to a search for the text of that error message. this is a well documented problem that effects a small number of users, & apple has published a whitepaper that will tell you how to fix it.
