    how can I create animation over live footage that appears to be scratched on or drawn onto. An example of this can be seen on the 30 seconds to mars music video “attack.” Sorry I don’t have a link but I think you can find it at itunes.

    Use the Paint effect or Vector Paint effect within AE.

    how do i go about making my text and animations appear to “jitter” and shake. again, for a more clear example refer to the 30 sec. to mars video “attack”

    In the vector paint tool there are jitter settings…try playing around with those.
