  device disabled even installed tiger

  hello, i have tried capturing all morning but fcp 4.5 keeps flaking out on me i have dumped the preferences gotten rid of the quicktime reciepts and searched the posts is ther any other way to to get the device working again its a dvx100a and both of my cameras wont respond to the viewer but with an Rca hooked to the cameras . i can see the tape being controlled but i have no audio or video being recorded onto my hard drive . help please.
