Nope, the connections are completely different on the Kona 2 board BMD Boards.
I switched from CineWave to the Kona 2 and have recently added a second Kona 2 setup.

August 2, 2005 at 8:56 pmHey Bob! I answered that so quick I didn’t even notice it was you. Sorry about that.
Pinnacle pretty much came up with a proprietary connection to the BOB and I’m not sure any other software would recognize it anyways. The Kona 2 is pretty much a seamless switch from CineWave.

I would love to move to Kona. But the money I have budgeted for this year was decided on before Cinewave took a dump. I was hoping to just upgrade the Cine card to RTPRO. Now I need a whole set up. I only have a grand to get a new card. I also would rather stay with the BOB design instead of cables off the card. I could move some dollars from my storage fund to the card fund if I could get the right storage config, as asked in the above thread.
Any thought Walter on a path of least resistance?
Thanks

August 2, 2005 at 9:11 pmIf all you’re doing is analog I/O, then you could look at the AJA Io LA which will get you in around $1k. It works seamlessly with the Kona 2 which you could add in the future.
Feel free to call if you want to chat about it.
