    Hi,

I’m trying to add music, mp3s from iTunes, to my movie in FCP HD, and I can import the mp3 just fine, but when I drag it down to the timeline, it makes me render it, which I do. But when I listen to the song after rendering it, it’s extremely choppy, and cuts out at points, and it just sounds crappy. Do I have a setting wrong or does FCP not like mp3s?

This has been covered a great deal (search the archives).

Yes, you should convert your audio file to an uncompressed format, such as AIFF or WAV (16 bit 48k Stereo). You can do this with Quicktime Pro, iTunes or Compressor. Don’t use compressed audio in an NLE.
