If I take DV footage into a PC computer, how can I get it to an apple hard drive without losing any quality? Can I just burn it onto DVD or CD-R as a data file with the DV codec I inputted it as? ANd then copy and paste it onto my Mac hard drive? I would probaly import the mini-dv footage in the DV codec and keep it that way the entire time, eventually exporting back out to a mini-DV tape. Thanks,

    RH

    Should work fine.

A faster way (depending on file size) might be to just recapture it from the original tape using the in and out points with FCP.

is DV-AVI from the PC compatible with DV-QT in the Mac? I did not think that would work, even though it is inherently the same codec.
