I need to know how, and if, FCP 5 can works with the followind formats (both in and out). I’m considering either AJA’s KONA 2 card OR BlackMagic’s DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 ?

    Thank’s in award

Not in my experience. I always have to send my DPX or CIN files through After Effects to make a quick time.

In general DPX compatability between software is pretty poor due to all the header data that can be used to store different information.

XNVIEW may be a usefull utility to view and convert those files as well.

Check out Decklink’s Framelink. If you have a Blackmagic it gets installed on your system when you download the driver for 5. I was able to create a quicktime out of a DXP sequence and imported it to FCP 5. Works great! 2k playback in FCP, that’s another story.
