  Storage recomendations

  I am setting up 2 G5 FCP workstations. I was wondering if anyone had any recomendations on shared storage for the 2 machines. I need to capture on one machine and be able to use the files on either one for editing or photoshop or whatever. I’m thinking somewhere in the 1-2tb range.

  Medea Fibrechannel FCR2X is outstanding and you can set it up in a SAN network.

  Also do a search on the forum for shared storage and storage. You’ll find a LOT of discussion in this forum about storage recommendations.

  aja.com – AJA_Data_Rate_Calculator_102b11.zip might come in handy for data rates and storage requirments–AJA Data Rate Calculator, and it’s a Mac application that calculates data rates and storage requirements for a given video size, format, frame rate, etc.
