Hi,
I don’t know if I am in the right forum or not. Hope someone can help. We are adding a digital video component to our clinical skills center. I will have 10-14 video feeds coming into 10-14 Mac Mini’s running Yellowdog. I am told the video signal will be analog which means I will need converters to change the signal to digital. Can anyone recommend a compatible coverter? Thanks. -

Thank you, someone else had mentioned Canopus ADV55 since we only need anaolg in and DV but I was not sure if it would work right with Yellowdog. The price range would be from as low as we can go to about $275. I mainly need to know since part of this project is going out to bid, what kind of connectors we will need to connect the video signal to the converter.

The Canopus ADVC includes one 6 pin to 6 pin cable to connect it to the Mac but also has a 4 pin firewire port in its front.
Check out their web site which will list what is included in the package.
The ADVC-110 provide locked audio and video synchronization which the ADVC-55 does not. Not sure that is an issue with you. Street price should be between $275 and $300–possibly less with 10 or more.
