  Format mixing: Beta and 720P

  I’m working in a 720P 24 sequence but need to add some Beta footage and am wondering what’s the best way to convert the Beta for this HD sequence.
  I thought I might dub the Beta clips to DVCPro HD tape and then digitize them back into my project at 720P 60. Or I could just output the Beta clips as a QuickTime movie with the DVCPro HD codec and then resize the movie back in my sequence but then that will mess up my EDL (no source tape/timecode).
  Any thoughts?

  My Standards Conversion plugin does great 60i to 24p conversions. I’d try that and see how you get on. Get the free demo at http://www.nattress.com
