Making sequences widescreen
Good day. Im having a bit of a problem. I looked at similar posts on the thread but did not get my answers there. The thing is i have a 30 min documentary shot with a digi beta in a widescreen format. Im using final cut pro hd 4.5 and i digitized the matterial in widescreen stretched format. The thing is i simply want to get the sequence that i editid on to a tape in 16:9. What ever i do the only sollution i have come across is to individually open each clipp and change the diversity from 0 to -33.33, ok it works! but painful… yes. I found no other way, seriously, the only thing i always came across on the net was to switch the sequence to 16:9 in sequence settings and the video becomes widescreen but on the video monitor it’s still 4:3, i can switch the monitor to 16:9 ofcourse but that serves no purpose when editing to the tape the final product. In avid you simply put one layer on a extra video channel to get the whole thing in widescreen, why is it so difficult in final cut?
