  Gate/Limiter

  Does FCP 4.5 or Soundtrack have a gate or limiter. I have an interview with 2 people mic’d and the mics are picking up the other persons audio. EX. MIC 1 is picking up Guest 1 when they talk and an acceptable level, but Mic 2 is also picking up Guest 1 and this cause a phase cancellation when the tracks are mixed.

  I’m tring to find an easier way to correct this rather then drop the volume on mic 2 when Guest 2 is not talking.

  Any suggestions would be apprecitaed.

  Yes, FCP has an “Expander/Noise Gate” audio filter.
