I have been using FCP (4.5) for several years, and generally everything is ok. However, recently I upgraded from OSX 10.3.2 to OSX 10.3.9 using download from Apple. I think this is when I got into trouble. Where I am trying to hook my camera (VTR mode) for transferring film, suddenly the message comes up to the effect that the camera is not connected (even though it is). Suggestion that the system configuration has been changed (not by me). The camera is ok, since I connected it to an IBM (works fine) and another user’s FCP (works fine). Just my system.
I then figured that I should re-install OSX 10.3.2 but of course it would not let me do that on the same volume, so I had to go to another external drive. That seems awfully clumsy, and I have not yet gotten to see whether this has fixed the problem anyway. Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot
