  Bought a UPS for my editing system, curious as to whether I should load the shutdown software.
  Will it play nice with FCP?

  APC’s software works well, Belkin’s dose not. It’s that simple. Oh, and download the software off the website, don’t use the CD.

  Thanks for the advice, it is a Belkin unit and hence their software I was wondering about.

  Hi,

  You might not need additional software. My APC unit shows up in the Energy Saver Tap of the System Setting (never installed the APC software).
