smooth motion
I’ve looked – but I can’t see how to modify a motion keyframe in the viewer so that it eases in and out (smooth). Is this possible?
It works with scale and rotation keyframes (right mouse click), but not with anchor or centre keyframes.
I want to pan and scan some footage in a 4:3 project that was shot 16:9…. is there any way to pan with a smooth start and end in FCP or do I have to export each shot to AE, which is of course quite a hassle.

If you right click on a Center keyframe in the Canvas, you can set it to be “ease in and out”…

This I don’t understand!
I usually modify a clip by double clicking it in the timeline, this brings it into the viewer window (player) – where I add filters, movement etc. I can’t see how to bring a clip into the canvas (recorder) window. I thought this window just played the timeline…. but I must be missing something – having recently transfered from another edit system that did not have the source / record metaphor that I assume FCP has.
How do I access keyframes in the canvas?
