please help with strange issue syncing audio in film originated project
I captured my material in big chunks of 20-35 min (length of each reel) and used cinema tools to remove the pulldown. I’ve been adding each reel to the timeline, using the razor tool to cut up the reel into its takes, making each take a subclip, then syncing each subclip to its corresponding audio. While I was at it and to save time, I started razoring the subclips from the frame where the clapper closes. This seemed to work fine, so I then started razoring tail slated subclips from the frame where the clapper closes at the end of the take. But, when I open up these tail slated subclips, they end 1 frame BEFORE the tail slate closes.
Am I missing something very obvious here, like 1+1=2? Am I doing something wrong? Been doing this for hours and I no longer trust judgement.
Anyway, sorry for the silly question, but thanks for any help! -

You may be cutting the clips a frame before the one you want.
Zoom in really close up on the timeline, so you can see one frame, and then cut the clip as you usually do.
Is the frame you were looking at in the canvas now on the beginning of the second clip, rather than the end of the first?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I believe my problem came in thinking that what I saw in the Canvas window and cut on would be the last frame in the first clip, when in fact it is really the first frame in the second clip. I believe I got confused from how things work in the viewer. When I marked an out from there and dragged it to the timeline it was exactly where I wanted. So I thought using the razor would be the same basic thing, but obviously it isn’t and it works differently.
Had I had a little more sleep I might have figured that out. Oh well.
