  FCP4 Timeline scroll and default transition questions

  I was wondering if there is a setting in Final Cut Pro 4 that keeps the verical bar in the timeline on screen when the time line is played?

  Also, i used to be able to apply a default trasition to BOTH my video and audio with the keyboard shortcut (command+t) and now it only applies a default transition to my video?

  Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  Sorry, but you are outta luck on both counts.

  The virtcal bar…the playhead…can’t be automatically followed in the timeline, you’ll have to manually scroll with it. Pain in the butt, I know. I want that feature too.

  I also want the feature that will just add a dissolve to both tracks at once, like my trusty old Avid. But, again, FCP treats video Cross Dissolves and audio Dissolves differently, so they have to be done separately. I have two mapped keys…one for each.

  About the playhead:
  Would be nice if the view followed the playhead, but be aware that you already CAN slide the slidebar on the bottom of the timeline WHILE FCP IS PLAYING BACK.
