In fcp 5 all audio imported no matter if is aac or mp3 all the audio is very clicky and gargled .
i know i can bring it in to soundtrack pro and handle it but why could this be happening.
i want to cut out the extra step of Stp and then back to fcp .
    any one have any ideas

just doing a file import into the a audio bin then dragging the audio file to the timeline…..

    thanks

Convert to AIFF before import should solve the problem.
Quicktime pro and iTunes can do this.

Your audio has to match your sequence settings. Most likely AIF 48khz.
