  editing question on audio

  hi:

  when editing i am using unlinked selection so that i cut and move audio channels independently of the video.
  Sometimes i am changing the levels but i have to do it individually, lets say i want -8db so i have to move one channel and then the other.
  other times they are together and i can do it at once.
  when they are separated how can i join them together so that effects and level changes affeect both channels at once?
