  Capture Multiple Audio Channel over Firewire

  Hi I am a FCP (4.5) user,
  I am using a Sony – J30SDI Deck.
  Is it possible to capture video and 4 Audio channel’s of a Digibetacam Tape trough the firewire connection?
  Do I need FCP 5 to do this?

  To capture it in one pass, you need FCP 5…

  Fyi, layoff of over 2 tracks however CAN be done in previous versions of FCP via SDI to such as a DigiBeta Deck.

  Yes, in fact up to 24 tracks can be sent out previeous versions… but that wasn’t the question…
