recovering QT video file
I’m wondering if there is a way to fix or retreive a QT video file that was captured in FCP and is now generating error -2048?
Here is what happened:
Working in FCP 5 and exporting a 1 hour project to Multitrack in Sond Track Pro. While working on a specific audio file, STP crashed and booted me back to the desktop. When I open up FCP that was in the background all my video in the sequence is offline. I tried reconnecting the video file on my raid, but it would not reconnect. I go directly to the file and attempt to open it and get error -2048. I have tried to rename the file with the .mov extension just in case it lost its way.Thankfully I made a copy of the 13 gig video file to another drive. Once I finish backing that to another drive for additonal safety, I’ll move it back to my video raid and try to re-connect.
Anyone have any ideas on how to recover the file that is now corrupt?
