  Media Manager (aka Mangler)

  Does one lose video quality when using media manager? When it writes the newly condensed files are they lossless?

  Also, has anyone gotten to the point with FCP 5 where they’ve used Media Manager? Any improvements? Specifically with fast motion clips and audio (not) being screwed up when opening new MM projects?

  They did address speed problems in FCP 5 and media manager… so they should work better now. It should be lossless copy as long as you don’t change compression settings.
