I am working on a project and was using AUGraphicEQ along with another filter to simulate a voice coming out of a telephone. It worked just the way I liked it.

Then I upgraded to Panther and FCP 4.5.

Now suddenly when I tried to do a mixdown of the whole sequence I was getting General Error (39)’s all over the place. I traced the culprit to any bits of audio that had filters on them. In my Favorites bin I had certain filters that I renamed to ‘Telephone’ or ‘Muffled Wall’ so I figured maybe with the upgrade it wasn’t recongizing these. So I opened a new project and re-did them from scratch. I also have rebooted the system and re-captured the footage from the original source.

Still all I get when I try to render a audio clip using AUGraphicEQ is the General Error message.

I searched the internet, but didn’t find much information to why this is and how do I get around it.

I’m hoping someone here will know the answer.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sean
